Assembler

Job Summary

This position is responsible for safely assembling equipment by following detailed instructions from supervisors and trainers. These assemblies vary in size and require the use of a variety of mechanical and manual tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies
  2. Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics onto trucks utilizing power equipment and wrenching techniques
  3. Drill holes for wires, hoses and small parts
  4. Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
  5. Install various truck accessories (latches, lights, reflectors, etc.)
  6. Lift and stack completed subassemblies and parts up to 65 lbs.
  7. Train and work in various areas of assembly in response to production demands
  8. Follow verbal and written work instructions
  9. Attention to detail necessary to adhere to quality standards
  10. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  11. Regular attendance required
  12. All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6+ months of experience in a manufacturing or general labor industry
  • Basic hand tools and rolling tool box/cart preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year(s) of experience in an assembly or mechanical occupation
